Product family Fiber pigtails
Fiber pigtails: SC, LC, FC and ST, 0.9 mm, for splicing
A fiber pigtail here is 0.9 mm buffered fiber in a 12-colour set for splicing, with an LC, SC, FC or ST connector, UPC or APC, on OS2 or OM3, OM4 and OM5. Every cord is tested for insertion loss of ≤ 0.3 dB and for return loss of ≥ 60 dB on APC, ≥ 50 dB on single-mode UPC, or ≥ 25 dB on multimode.
- Buffered fiber, in 12-colour sets for splicing
- 0.9 mm
- Insertion loss per connector, typical maximum
- ≤ 0.3 dB
- Return loss, APC
- ≥ 60 dB
- Of cords tested for IL and RL

| Spec | Published value |
|---|---|
| Connector | LC, SC, FC, ST |
| Polish | UPC (blue) and APC (green) |
| Fiber type | OS2 single-mode, OM3, OM4, OM5 multimode |
| Jacket diameter | 0.9 mm buffered |
| Length | Any length, cut and terminated to order |
| Insertion loss | ≤ 0.3 dB per connector, typical maximum |
| Return loss | APC ≥ 60 dB; single-mode UPC ≥ 50 dB; multimode ≥ 25 dB |
These are the connector, polish, fiber, pigtail construction and optical limits already published for patch cords and pigtails. Jackets, where a jacket is specified, are LSZH or PVC.
Pigtail vs patch cord
| Assembly | What is published |
|---|---|
| Fiber pigtail | 0.9 mm buffered, 12-colour sets for splicing |
| Patch cord | Simplex, duplex, armoured or bend-insensitive; any length |
| Shared limits | IL ≤ 0.3 dB; RL ≥ 60 dB APC, ≥ 50 dB single-mode UPC, ≥ 25 dB multimode |
A fiber pigtail on this range is 0.9 mm buffered fiber in a 12-colour set for splicing. A patch cord is the jacketed assembly — simplex, duplex, armoured or bend-insensitive — in any length. Both are tested for insertion and return loss, and the end-face geometry is checked by interferometer.
Splicing into an ODF or a termination box
| Step | What the installer specifies |
|---|---|
| Colour set | 12-colour, 0.9 mm buffered, one colour per fiber |
| Connector | LC, SC, FC or ST; SC/APC where the drop is FTTH |
| Splice point | Inside an optical distribution frame (ODF) or a fiber termination box |
A splicing crew uses the 12-colour, 0.9 mm set where a cable ends inside an optical distribution frame (ODF) or a fiber termination box. The pigtail is spliced to the cable fiber and its connector sits on the adapter. A jacketed patch cord then patches from that adapter. The quote form below is the RFQ for the set, the polish and the length.
Options
- LC, SC, FC or ST, including an SC/APC pigtail or an LC pigtail
- UPC (blue) or APC (green); do not mate the two
- OS2, OM3, OM4 or OM5
- 12-colour sets, any length, cut and terminated to order
- LSZH or PVC jackets where a jacket is specified; yellow OS2, aqua OM3/OM4, lime OM5

Terms
Ordering, testing and delivery
Typical terms. Your offer states the exact terms for your order.
- Minimum order
-
One drum of cable, one reel of fiber or one carton of passive components. Mixed BOMs are welcome. Samples for evaluation typically ship in 1–3 weeks.
- Lead time
-
Stock items 5–10 working days. Made-to-order cable typically 2–4 weeks. Large framework lots ship on the agreed rollout schedule. Fiber prices moved sharply in 2026, so every cable offer states how long its price holds next to the lead time.
Fiber and cable prices in 2026 - Test reports
-
OTDR data for every drum of cable, insertion and return loss for every connectorised assembly, loss and uniformity reports for splitters, and our pre-shipment inspection report. Third-party pre-shipment inspection on request, at the buyer’s cost.
- Labelling and packing
-
Drum and carton labels to your scheme: project, lot, route or rack. Export cartons, and wooden or plywood drums for cable.
- Payment
-
T/T with 30% deposit and 70% before shipment, or L/C at sight. Rollouts can run under a framework agreement with staged lots.
Payment terms and trade finance - Delivery
-
FOB Wuhan or Shanghai, CIF to your port, or door delivery where available. Goods from other ZeroLine lines ship in the same consignment when that saves freight.

FAQ
Fiber pigtails: questions buyers ask
What is an SC/APC pigtail?
SC/APC is an SC connector with APC polish. APC is green, and return loss is ≥ 60 dB. APC is the polish published for FTTH. UPC is blue, return loss is ≥ 50 dB on single-mode, and the two end faces do not mate.
What is an LC pigtail?
An LC pigtail is the same 0.9 mm buffered fiber with an LC connector, UPC or APC, supplied in the 12-colour splicing set. LC is one of the four connectors on this range, with SC, FC and ST.
What is a 12 core pigtail?
The published set is twelve colours of 0.9 mm buffered pigtail, one colour per fiber, for splicing. Insertion loss is ≤ 0.3 dB per connector, and 100% of cords are tested for insertion and return loss.
What insertion loss should the RFQ state?
≤ 0.3 dB per connector, the typical maximum published for these cords. Return loss on the same row is ≥ 60 dB for APC, ≥ 50 dB for single-mode UPC and ≥ 25 dB for multimode. The quote form is the RFQ.
