Outdoor optical cable: duct, aerial, ADSS and direct-buried
ZeroLine Connect supplies outdoor optical cable for every route: loose-tube duct cable, ADSS and figure-8 aerial cable, armoured direct-buried cable and air-blown micro-cable, typically from 2 to 288 fibers. Cables are built to IEC 60794 by Optics Valley cable makers, with OTDR data for every fiber on every drum.

Specification
Cable types we supply
| Type | Common code | Construction | Typical route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Loose-tube duct cable | GYTA / GYTS | Stranded gel-filled tubes, aluminium or steel tape, PE sheath | Duct and conduit |
| Central-tube cable | GYXTW | One tube, two parallel steel wires | Low-count duct and lashed aerial |
| All-dielectric cable | GYFTY | FRP strength member, no metal | Near power lines and lightning-prone areas |
| ADSS | ADSS | All-dielectric, aramid yarn, self-supporting | Aerial on power and telecom poles |
| Figure-8 aerial | GYTC8S / GYXTC8S | Integrated steel messenger | Aerial on telecom poles, short spans |
| Direct-buried armoured | GYTA53 | Double sheath, corrugated steel armour | Trenches without duct |
| Air-blown micro-cable | — | Small diameter, 200 or 250 µm fiber | Micro-duct networks |
| Parameter | Typical value |
|---|---|
| Tensile load, long term / short term | 600 N / 1,500 N |
| Crush, long term / short term | 300 N / 1,000 N per 100 mm |
| Minimum bend radius, static / dynamic | 10 × / 20 × cable diameter |
| Operating temperature | −40 to +70 °C |
Typical values for a standard design; heavier designs are available. Your offer states the values for the exact cable.
| Item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Span length and allowed sag | Sets the amount of aramid and the cable’s tension rating |
| Wind and ice loading | Climate loading for your region |
| Line voltage and pole position | Decides between PE and anti-tracking (AT) sheath |
| Fiber count and type | Sets tube count and cable diameter |
Options
- Fiber counts from 2 to 288 and beyond
- PE, anti-rodent, anti-termite or LSZH sheaths
- Sheath printing: metre marks, your name and project ID
- Drum lengths to your route plan, typically 2–4 km
Tests and documents with every order
- OTDR attenuation for every fiber on every drum
- Type tests to IEC 60794-1-2: tensile, crush, impact, bend, torsion, temperature cycling, water penetration
- Pre-shipment inspection and drum labelling
- Datasheets for tender submissions
Terms
Ordering, testing and delivery
Typical terms. Your offer states the exact terms for your order.
- Minimum order
-
One drum of cable, one reel of fiber or one carton of passive components. Mixed BOMs are welcome. Samples for evaluation typically ship in 1–3 weeks.
- Lead time
-
Stock items 5–10 working days. Made-to-order cable typically 2–4 weeks. Large framework lots ship on the agreed rollout schedule. Fiber prices moved sharply in 2026, so every cable offer states how long its price holds next to the lead time.
Fiber and cable prices in 2026 - Test reports
-
OTDR data for every drum of cable, insertion and return loss for every connectorised assembly, loss and uniformity reports for splitters, and our pre-shipment inspection report. Third-party pre-shipment inspection on request, at the buyer’s cost.
- Labelling and packing
-
Drum and carton labels to your scheme: project, lot, route or rack. Export cartons, and wooden or plywood drums for cable.
- Payment
-
T/T with 30% deposit and 70% before shipment, or L/C at sight. Rollouts can run under a framework agreement with staged lots.
Payment terms and trade finance - Delivery
-
FOB Wuhan or Shanghai, CIF to your port, or door delivery where available. Goods from other ZeroLine lines ship in the same consignment when that saves freight.

FAQ
Outdoor cable: questions buyers ask
GYTA or GYTS?
Both are stranded loose-tube cables. GYTA has an aluminium tape and GYTS a corrugated steel tape that resists crushing and rodents better. Choose GYTS for tougher duct routes; GYTA is lighter and cheaper.
How do you size ADSS for our spans?
Send the span lengths, sag limits, wind and ice loading and line voltage. The maker designs the aramid and sheath for those conditions and states the maximum allowable tension in the offer.
Can you print our name and project ID on the sheath?
Yes. Sheath printing with your text, metre marks and year is standard, and private-label drums are available.
